I tried out Textr the other day and it slowed my i760 and Treo 700wx to a crawl (when trying to txt). I'm not sure how you got it to run smoothly mrailing, if you tweaked it at all please let us know. In my experience, anything that requires .Net 2.0 seems to run extremely slow, not sure if they are related or not.
