I am not sure if laptop ram is the same size, speed, toleration of mobility, or power requirement.

However, they make different versions of the iphone with more flash, maybe they should have made a version of the mogul with more ram. I would have paid an extra $100 for 512MB ram and I would think they could do it for that cost and profit without changing other design considerations.
