MMS does not work from within the Palm Threaded SMS software. When you install the Palm Threaded SMS the i760 will not recieve any MMS messages whatever. The only way in which you can start to recieve MMS again is to apply the registry changes outlined in this thread. At that point you can use the palm app. for threaded SMS and you can use the original messaging app for MMS/Email/Etc.
