I agree with you totally Miata492. I replaced i730 with a Motorola Q. Love the functions on the i730. Hated the touch screen and instability. Besides, how many people actually need all those advanced PocketPC functions? Not me. The Q is perfect for me. Got a great deal on a used one from ebay, and I still have the option to purchase the SMT5800 with my new every 2 if vzw ever releases it.
I was trying to hold onto my i730 until the SMT5800 came out. But, my Sammy was crashing several times per day, so I had to take emergency action. Bottom line is, I love my Q. I don't plan go back to a PocketPC again. I'll need to do a side by side comparison to see if the SMT5800 will be worth the switch. The2 biggest selling points for me are WM6 and form factor. It would be great to have a phone that looks like a phone again.
Also, HTC manufactured this phone with WiFi. I wonder if Verizon stripped it out or just disabled it. If it's just disabled, I suppose it wouldn't take much to enable it. Surely someone on this site will figure out how and pass on the knowledge.
