More chaff that I am not really sure means anything

Just got off the phone with my B2B rep and he said a couple of things that I thought would be of interest here.

1) Worst case scenario with my NE2, company discount, etc. I would pay $219 for the I760. Much better than what I paid for my I730, so now I am pumped.

2) He also said the phone was definitely going to be released in Q4 (ugh), that it was slated to be released already but got hung in "testing" again, and that his best guess was later this month or early next month.

On the second point, it seemed as though he may have forgotten that it was now the first week of October (hiccup in the dialog made me think he was trying to figure out what month it was). Perhaps it is going to be released this week?!?! Of course that could have been my renewed sense of optimism brought on by a low "opt in" price for the I760. I did not press this suspicion with him; he was helping me with another issue that had nothing to do with the I760.

A2DP, camera, slimmer profile, WM6, and dedicated number keys for $219 is definitely worth it to me. Looks like Verizon has kept at least one of their customers until the new "next best thing" comes along. Feel bad that I am thinking of sending my I730 to her rest; longest I have ever stayed with one phone (my wife calls it my "girlfriend").

PS Red Sox will win the World Series - hope we get to play the Wild Card Champion Yankees along the way
