I know you guys have been saying that your only a small % of the big picture for Verizon but neg. press is neg. press no? I rememeber having that Moto phone (first bluetooth phone) and those people all got involved (I joined and added my name) and Verizon due to all the bad press ended up giving us a few free months or something .. at least it's something

And Verizon would come back and say, but we did release new devices since the i730...
6700
three different Blackberrys
Treo 700w
Treo 700wx
Motorola Q
Motorola Q9
PN820
All of those are business class "PDA Phones". All of those came out since the i730. They don't specifically say "We will provide you an upgrade path of your current device", they say something along the lines of "we will have something for you to use your New Every 2". I don't even think they call it "upgrading", they just say you can get a new device. So then that also includes all of the phones too.
I am not sticking up for Verizon, I want my i760 just as much as the rest of you, but the complaints coming because of the lack of release are just uncalled for, and unneeded. Sure Verizon really should be getting us an "upgrade", and they really should be giving us our i760 that we want, but they are a business, I do own stock in them, and their goal is performance by the numbers, and that is what they push, the stuff that makes them money. PDA phones, although growing, is just a drop in the bucket for them and the other devices they sell.
Everyone here is preaching to choir. We want the i760, we are all in the same boat (except for those lucky few that were able to order it already), and it doesn't do any good to say the stuff here, or threaten to leave here, cause my remark would be, there is the door, go ahead and leave and go to Sprint or AT&T. Personally I am sick of reading complaints and threats, it does no good here but to make us have to skim over them to look for good information, or discuss things that can help the device when the majority of us get it.
It will come out when Verizon wants to release it, no matter what we do, no matter how loud we scream, it simply won't come out any faster. The latest release date that was mentioned was Friday October 5. Sure I don't think it will drop then, but we should at least wait for that date. Verizon isn't telling many of their people about release dates, because of the leaks of those dates. Ethan knows when it got moved to, but he won't tell me, simple as that. He just isn't going to jeopardize his job to let us know anything. So if you don't want to wait, move on. If you do want to wait, we will continue to hear clues, and continue to lust after the i760.
