Equus attempted to get this done while in Korea, and didn't get it to happen because of this, and the need to change to a different motherboard, and then it would have the wrong ESN number that would not allow access to the Verizon network.
This was all discussed in the past, and you are welcome to try, but we have been down that road before...

From what I understand someone has gotten a camera from a Korean version of the i730 (can't remember if it was from an M4300 or M4500) working in the back of the US i730, w the same motherboard, and got it to take pictures, be it dark ones. That would tell me it's possible and can be done. The thing he needs is drivers which were told the ones from the WM6 ROMs would work in any camera module that would fit in the back, whether from the M4300, M4500 etc. One from the forum who's looked into this w a contact from Samsung he has that knows how to get that working in the device and or worked on trying to get it fully functional in the i730 apparently said this from what I understand. So while they took out the camera module, from what I've seen, the innate capabilities to have one in there still seem to remain to be in tact..I also don't remember them changing the FCC approved specs from one mother board to another in order to keep a camera from being able to work in it. Do you remember anything like that happening?
