I had my phone set on top of the middle armrest. I would keep connecting and disconnecting, so I put the mini on the dash. Same problem. Then, i finally figured out the units were too far apart and I was losing the connect b/w bluetooth. I left both of the units next to each other right under the radio. I didn't have a problem after that.
Is the poor bluetooth range in the mini a design choice to save battery life? I have no idea, but I know that my BT 2.0 headphones can work across a room. This was only about 3 ft from driver door to center console and it wouldn't work.

I just took it on a long trip as well and I can say I have no problems with the range at all. I was able to walk away from inside of the car to get gas with no BT dropping issues.
PPC6800 + Freedom Mini + TomTom FTW! :mikey:
