I just took the Freedom mini on a long road trip. My complaint is that the bluetooth range isn't that great. When I first started the trip, i kept on getting a signal and then losing it. I thought the Mini didn't have a clear view of the sky. At first, I left it in the pocket in the drivers door(You know there is a little pocket where you can hold onto to close the door. I had my phone set on top of the middle armrest. I would keep connecting and disconnecting, so I put the mini on the dash. Same problem. Then, i finally figured out the units were too far apart and I was losing the connect b/w bluetooth. I left both of the units next to each other right under the radio. I didn't have a problem after that.

Is the poor bluetooth range in the mini a design choice to save battery life? I have no idea, but I know that my BT 2.0 headphones can work across a room. This was only about 3 ft from driver door to center console and it wouldn't work.
