I actually had problem directly connect to GPS device using google map. I only got it working using external GPS setting on WM6. It's weird.

I setup COM for GPS, then Google just keep on complaining no GPS available (this is with external GPS all set to none). I make COM for external GPS, setup another COM for application access. Voila, Google Map I simply select "windows settings" and it worked.
