Michael,
Thank you so much for your review. Verizon will be getting this phone in October, and I plan on switching from my Samsung i730. I have had it with the slow response, battery drains, and freezes of the Pocket PC. And, don’t even get me started on the size of the thing. I have had it with the constant ribbing from my friends because my phone is so huge. Besides, I can’t slip it into a small little handbag for a Friday night on the town.
From everything that I’ve read, Window’s Smartphone software is fare more stable. As for your questions about switching from a Pocket PC to a Smartphone, the following threads about switching from the 6700 to the Motorola Q.

Between that and your review, I’m sold on the 5800. Can’t wait for Verizon to get it!
Questions: WM5.20? So, you can't you create and edit MSOffice files on it? You’re supposed to be able to do this with WM6 for Smartphone. Also, are you saying that it does not have a standard 2.5 analog jack to insert my wired handsfree earpiece into?
