New iGuidance 4.0 is great. I've tested diff. gps soft and I find it better then tomtom. I used to drive a lot and tomtom had some problems with finding addresses. iGuidance always find its way to final destination 
I like a lot new text to speech feature.
One thing that I dont like is Pre-generated single map file (1.3GB) *requires min. 2GB SD card when using Pocket PC version.
They used to have map loader for selected maps.

With regards to getting a new shell if it gets scratched. Currently you can't but I don't think it will be a problem anyway.
