Thanks for your email. Here is what I know....It WILL be released within the next 2 weeks. There is a firm date, however I can not disclose it ...yet. Look for an official announcement soon. I don't know if it will be a soft launch for the Business channel first. Probably not, seeing how they want it to compete with iphone.
I don't know the complete specs of the device, but it absolutely will NOT be Rev A. It will have Wi-Fi built-in, and will NOT have the IR port. It will have WM6 (this is a slick interface, you'll love it!) as well as a quicker computer (dont let the numbers fool you). You will need all new accessories, as the connections port has been reworked. As far as I know, it will come with everything your i730 came with -cradle/desk charger, travel charger, slim/extended bat, holster, 2 stylist, etc. BTW, the slim battery has been improved to improve life. Price point is unknown at this point. Probably in the $300-$500 range.

That's all I know/can say at this point. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything.

By the way, you are going to want to upgrade your company KRZRs to the new RAZR2 when it comes out... it is dominate!!

There you go. Take it for what it's worth, but this guy has a track record for always being on the money. I have to get back to my Pina Colada! Cheers...
Great news...Im sure somebody has touched on this topic, but I just realized that if VZW is seriously considering marketing this phone to a broad consumer base, including high school and college students, VZW will probably have to price the phone in that $300-$500 competitive range. Being a college student myself, price (including original hardware price, monthly charges, and other accessories sold separately) is a large factor. Im already including data charges while budgeting my summer internship money over the coming school year. I expect a late summer/early fall product rollout for multiple phones, possibly using the back-to-school angle in terms of marketing.

Somewhat O/T, I know that nobody knows for sure how "extended" the extended battery is yet, but will it create a problem in terms of how effective the holster is for storage? From looking at different websites that offer cases, manufacturers seem to offer extended cases in addition to standard cases. Is buying an extended case really necessary or is an extended case just a luxury item?
