I never knew of the issue because the two headsets I'd had didn't seem to be affected by the ROM update. I was using the Tekkeon 3000 until about a month ago when I tried the Jawbone. Both of those sets were able to get audio application sound through them just by pressing the headest button that toggled off voice dialing.

Now I'm using a Plantronics 510 and a BlueAnt V12, and they require an application like BTToggle.
