And this is why. Microsoft has developed enormous commonality for programmers between the Windows desktop and Windows Mobile platforms. Any programmer that understands how to write Windows desktop applications in .Net essentially already knows how to write for Windows Mobile. This is why the "app gap" between WinMob and other smiart phone devices will only continue to grow in the forseeable future.

By the way, when my battery gives up the ghost, I will instantaneously swap in a new one, while you will be without your phone for 3 business days plus round-trip shipping time, unless you want to rent a phone for $30. If I want more battery capacity, I will replace my battery with an extended, but yoiu have no such option. This is by far the single dumbest thing Apple did with the iPhone.
I could go on, and on, but the bottom line is that they're different devices for different users. The Mogul is a business/IT professional/tech afficinado's device, and the iPhone is a (very expensive) end user's device. The iPhone will work better for users who do not need the serious business capabilities (DirectPush, Office, etc) and are content with what it offers out of the box, like a regular cell phone.
