Update on Verizon SD card.

I bought a new card from a Verizon store. There are interesting differences. The serial number copied 0708902340D is missing digits. One might say it is because the serial number is growing but the difference is after the D which to me seems like an incorrect serial number. I have D01. The serial number is not easy to read but the Verizon numbers are crisp. Where as my Nextweb card looks like the ribbon was running out of ink. The numbers are uneven in clarity. They also are much fainter to read. I need a magnifying glass for both but the nextweb almost needs a microscope. The Nextweb has a triangle next to the name SanDisk pointing on its side like an arrow. The Verizon has almost a closed letter C with the number 2 in it.

One last thing that should have been the clue. The Verizon kit comes in a bubble wrapped package. While I don't expect to see the Nextweb name on their bubble wrap like Verizon I think we should have expected to see a SanDisk bubble wrap. It only came in the small plastic container. They may say they sold it that way to save on postage but I bet SanDisk would disapprove removing even a good card from their packaging.
