I agree completely! The iPhone will sell to the average user like hotcakes. Oh wait, the average user can't afford it!
Ok, then it will sell to business users like hotcakes. Oh wait, it doesn't offer ActiveSync or any other Enterprise level push e-mail.
Sooooo, that leaves the Mac addicts and well-heeled gadget junkies like a lot of us here. Honestly, that's not a big portion of the population and those of us gadget junkies needing our PDA phone to be more powerful won't be willing to loose the apps and functionality we are currently used to.
And I think a lot of those Mac addicts and gadget junkies that do buy it will get fed up w/ no buttons to dial.
I'll be honest though, while watching the commercials I was drawn to it and would buy it as a video iPod (@ a cheaper price) and MAYBE pay a bit more for data service, but NOT as a phone. |
