OK thanks, good to know! There is an app/hack (can't remember the name- maybe KBfix?) that allows simultaneous pressing of multiple buttons on the hardware keyboard--wonder if it would enable the diagonals...should just be two switches being pressed at once. I have it on my 6700 and works well when playing games that require a button press while moving (running/jumping in Mario Bros. etc.) It also seems to allow two direction buttons to be pressed at once (see the notepad test above) but this is usually hard to do with the keyboard's direction arrows. Unfortunately it has no effect on a true 4 or 5-way pad because there are physical restraints that keep it from leaning diagonal and pressing more than one switch at once.
