I am using the 700p since Feb.2007 when my 4th PPC6601 died. THe lack of multitasking is a major pain, also I don't know how you can say the Palm is more stable or reliable. My 6601 was a rock the 700p crashes every day!!
I hated the sliding keyboard on the 6601 and really like the exposed type as on the 700,755 treos.

Put the 320x320 screen on the Treo 700wx and I would be very happy.
