I am having the same problem but for a different reason.

I was using my wired headset because I forgot my bluetooth at home. At the end of the day I unplugged my wired headset and now I have no audio from the speaker or mic.

I have pluged and unpluged my headset numerous times and I still do not have audio or mic through the built in speaker or mic. Everything works over the wired headset or the bluetooth headset but not via the internals.

I have soft and hard reset my device to no avail.

I have dismantled the phone and checked the headset plug. I do not see how the headset plug could think the headset was still pluged in due to the construction of the plug. The only time contact points are made is when a plug is inserted in the jack otherwise there is no contact that I can see being made in the jack.

Does anyone have any other suggestions other than buying a new phone or living with a headset all of the time?

I would like to hold off replacing the phone until the 6800 comes out if possible so any help would be appreciated.
