I know I'm late to the party but who said the were crippling the processor? its a samsung 400mhz if I'm not mistaken, and most of the new pdas running wm6 are using them. it is indeed faster and better with batter life than the current 6700, and the 6700/apache can use skype just fine.

in the fcc listing, htc even makes a reference to voip - saying that the end user may want to install voip programs - so I don't think it will be a step back in processing speed as some of you are insinuating. we aren't downgrading to a 200mhz! lol
