good news: rev a. is in the hardware and HTC claims only difference between verizon + sprint (see: mode1 and mode2) is casing on outside. also 1500mAH battery

bad news: the wait, the full specs, some mention about how wlan cant be on while phone is on (but HTC says due to end users wanting to install voip they might not restrict this).

of course this doesnt mean that verizon or sprint wont do exactly that - limit the phone to being off while wlan is on (didnt work too well for the i730 if i remember correctly or the xv6700 either; simple registry hack) or requesting that rev a modem be removed. but guys, c'mon, i just dont see that happening especially with verizon and sprint putting out rev a evdo to one-up each other all over the country. if either of them took it out, the other company has the advantage if they leave it in. and if what HTC holds true, about both models being the same "internally", i dont think this will be a 700w vs 700wx memory issue. the only "possibility" i see happening (and this is a black eye for either company) is if they include the hardware but dont allow it to be turned on (much like evdo on sprint 6600). however this is so unlikely because the modem itself is rev a., you cant differentiate between rev 0 and rev a connecting to a rev a. tower from what i've read, i.e. you cant force rev 0 to connect to rev a. if the modem supports rev a. all in all, i think that sprint guy was talking out his arse, about the titan (6800) not having rev a, and thats to say it kindly. if you want me to believe that for the ENTIRE YEAR of 2007 the only way SPRINT wants you to connect to REV A is through a broadband card (remember, the sprint guy giving a presentation said no rev a. phones until 2008 ) you guys are pretty gullible. that statement alone is SOOO far fetched...
