Nope. Tasks on the phone are a kind of subset of tasks in outlook. You can set up a task on the handset and sync it back to outlook, but you don't get all the bells & whistles of a task in outlook.

I'm not sure if you set the task up in outlook first and then push it to the phone if reminders go with it; I haven't tried it. But I am sure that if you set the task up on your phone there's no reminder option like with calendar appointments.
