I have not seen that, but haven't really tested <> 2GB installs. I have seen "uninstalls" fail quite regularly on programs that are installed on the 4 GB card. All I have to do is go into /windows/start menu/programs and delete the icon for the program...as well as the directory it was installed on. I can then successfully install the updated program.
