As always, images need to be "at least" 256 x 256, bigger is ok, with a solid background (appreciated).
Always check out Post #3 for the current Device Icon picture list, and check that for updates to icons.

I haven't installed Vista yet but what is the display size of the icon within the window (Windows Mobile Device Center program) when it is running? Does the icon resize when you maximise the window? Theoretically would you want the images to be of the highest resolution possible so that detail isn't lost?
I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether the image behaves like the Vista sidebar gadgets in the way that they resize. |
