I agree. But I think if Verizon wants to be a reseller for devices, they still should be able to, but we should have the OPTION to buy the device direct without all there software and crap on it. They maybe should have a "Verizon version" we could purchase where we get support through Verizon, and then a manufacturer version that we can get support direct from the manufacturer, and not have some of the Verizon specific software on it. If you wanted that software, then you could buy it direct from Verizon, for example Wireless Sync. I don't use it, I don't need it, let me save some money, buy direct and if I wanted it later, I need to purchase it...

That would still give the option to people to get it where they wanted, and who/how they would get support. Verizon could charge a little more or less and give deals on bundles of software and possibly extended support....
