WOW! Get out my camera bag! I shoot with the same gear! I bought the camera as an open box special. It was the Rebel XT Kit with the 18-55mm lens. Thats when they were selling for $999. The guy that returned had buyers remorse. I was in the customer service line when he returned it. He had purchased it the same day and his wife made him return it. I asked the manager do they send them back to the manufacturer or do they sell them. he said they sell them as an open box special. I asked how much? He said $679. I couldn't pass it up. I was going to buy one new in a few months anyway. So I couldn't pass it up. I bought my lens and speedlite gear from Amazon.

I also have a P&S (Sony Cybershot DSC s600) to carry around when i don't want to lug the other gear around.
