I think what I am going to do is reflash my phone. I think that I may have got a bad ROM update since I am having other non-related issues. I have been doing some reading and research and fell that this may be the issue.

I am not saying that this is the solution, but considering I am having frequent lockups and and connectivity problems, I have a feeling that the ROM may just be the problem here.

I will let you know if this fixes the problem.
