I don't believe the Smartphone OS has the RDP client for network access, for exactly the reasons you mention. Without a touch screen, and with no real cursor control, I'm not sure I'd even want to try using it for that. Granted, I had the same thought as you, but I also have been doing this long enough to know that for any real RDP, I would use my laptop. I haven't even tried to look for the remote access client on my Blackjack.
Otherwise, the only client I have seen discussed for the Smartphone is the VNC client. I don't think the Symantec pcA client works on Smartphone either.
