Need Help - Data Disappears from Calendar!

A few months ago, I did something stupid, (but I didn't know any better at the time.) Before purchasing my Treo 700P, I tried to hotsync my Samsung i500 on another computer. Needless to say, when I later did a hotsync on my own computer, my i500 was totally messed up. To make a long story short, I eventually got it working properly again, pretty much as if nothing had ever happened. But I do have one recurring problem which I thought might resolve itself once I upgraded to the Treo 700P. But no such luck.

Here's the story: Once every few weeks, my Palm desktop calendar will suddenly lose all, (or practically all,) of the data. But I'm not sure what it is I do, if anything, to make this happen. Therefore, by the time I notice the data is missing, I have usually, already, done a hotsync, causing the PDA calendar to get wiped out as well. Fortunately, I back up the data on my desktop PC every night. So I'm always able to restore the calendar with only the most recent data missing. Any suggestions on what could be causing this to happen? What could be done to fix it? By the way, I assume the problem is with the Palm desktop calendar but only because it's where I first notice the problem. (I use the desktop calendar daily but often go several days without looking at the PDA calendar.) It IS possible that the data actually disappears from the PDA first. I would really appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks much!
