I have an XV6700. In EVDO areas when I am not in a moving vehicle, the streaming is very clear and does not skip. When I am on the train home and/or to work, there is some pausing and skipping, mainly because it jumps in and out of EVDO and into 1x mode, which is a bit choppy. I find that my phone is very good at handing off from an EVDO to a 1x connection, but it almost never hands back up to EVDO until I restart Slingplayer mobile. Whenever I can, I try to use WiFi when streaming Sling to my phone. Overall it is pretty amazing how well it works on the phone. I think the 1x to EVDO and back again handing off problems are a VZ issue, as I find the same problem occurs whenever I stream anything from the net.
