Sorry to start a new thread, but I have a memory leak problem relating to the ROM upgrade...

I have not done the ROM upgrade because I don't need any of the new features. Then I noticed that each time I used the phone memory used by the phone was not released when the call was over. I used a memory tool and found that as many as 4 instances of the phone app was left using ram after a series of phone calls and they couldn't be released except by a soft reboot. Does the ROM upgrade fix this?
