Have an old Manual F3 that I learned (a little) on. Borrowed a D70 from a friend and I liked it so much that I started reading the forums and decided to get a D200 with an 80-400VR for my son's football (just started High School). He plays mostly in daylight so the f4.5-5.6 works great. I know I'll probably break down and get a faster zoom as he starts playing night games in a year or two. Maybe I should have gone with a Cannon, but I have some old lenses from my F3 that I hated to part with.
