I will mention for those still having problems with this. I couldn't get mine downgraded after a few weeks of attempts. I did, however, get PDANet, dropped a few bucks, and it does work quite nicely. Some full screen applications struggle while it is running, so I wouldn't recommend it for gaming, but it does work fine for everything else. Not to mention, I've had very few disconnects. Tethering before, I was disconnecting quite often. I would recommend it if you just can't get it downgraded. It was $35 for the serial I believe, one time only. I think it was worth it.
