It didn't work that well anyway. With my phone clipped to my left side the signal would cut in & out. I could get a even signal when I held the phone out in front of me. Which kind of negates the benefit of "handsfree."

Here's the problem with bluetooth--low signal strength=short range. Put a solid object (your body) in between the transmitter and receiver, and you increase the problem. Notice how most people clip the phone to their left hip, then stick a headset in their right ear. It's a miracle there's any communication at all!
This is one good thing about the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970--the transmitter is out in front of me (on top of my belly

) and being lower it's also much closer to the phone on my hip, so I rarely have this problem.
jazmatician, I would try hard resetting and reinstalling the A2DP stuff after you reinstall all your apps. I didn't add A2DP until I was fully back up and running. It's possible that one of your installed apps is overwriting something that is needed--or maybe you are running too much stuff, which is stealing cycles from the streaming codec.

Not to mention having to go in to the bluetooth settings every time to tap & hold & choose "Set as Wireless Stereo" even if all that had happened was a phone call or going into standby mode.

I've found that you can usually just hold down the IE button to go into Comm Manager, and toggle BT off and back on to re-establish the stereo connection. No need to go back into settings, tap and hold and all that stuff. Still a pain but at least it can be done one handed.
