OK so I did this on my old unit which has to go back to vzw without too much trouble. I've been at it an hour now and I cant get it work. According to the pST software im connected on com16 (I have bluetooth and tons of things thats why i have so many com ports). I'm following the instructions and I've gotten slick at reseting the device while its in the cradle w/ a specially bent paper clip. Still no go...
