When you lock the device from the Today screen, none of the buttons respond to key presses (including phone) except for the left soft key.

The left soft key has "Unlock", and if you press it prompts you to hit a unlock button on the screen or press *. This screen quickly times out, so accidental button presses shouldn't unlock it.


As for the auto unlock, I don't know yet... I'll see after I get my first phone call of the day.
