The answer is to leave a copy of the e-mail on the server. It's that simple.
I manage my Pop account from my PC and keep my master copies there. Only when I download to my PC do I remove the copy from the server. Anything I want to keep on my PDA, I leave on the server.

Bayou,
Unfortunately, it's not that simple with GMail. GMail provides free pop access and it is a free email service. However, under GMail's pop settings, there is no setting or checkbox that says "leave a copy on mail server." There is a setting that says keep a copy in GMail's inbox, but again, that was not doing the trick.
Also, Pocket Outlook on the MDA and 8125 does NOT have a checkbox that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server" like Microsoft Outlook on your PC under Options--> Mail setup--> More Settings--> Advanced
If there is such a setting on the MDA and/or 8125, please let all of us know. But for now, this fix I mentioned earlier in the thread is the only way to keep GMail messages from disappearing from you inbox on the MDA/8125. Prior to the fix, when GMail messages were downloaded to the phone, they were never deleted off the server, but the messages would still disappear on subsequent send/receives on the MDA or 8125. Just thought I would clarify the issue for you.
