Is there any large metal in the pocket - A riveted plaque on a wallet, A large keychain fob or chain, a pen, a flashlight etc. - in a close pocket or on the jacket itself? BT is a radio, so it might be ghosting or radio echo that's causing the problem, now that I thought of it.

Do a check on a different jacket, or empty it of everything else first. I found that a 6 inch long metal-bodied flashlight I carry was too close to mine and it caused the BT headset to sound like there was bacon frying when I put the phoine on my belt. I moved the flashlight and boo-yah!, the phone was crystal-clear.

Sorry about forgetting about that. It was about six months ago, so I didn't figure that it was important at first; thinking about it last night made me realize that it might not be a high-tech fix that is needed...
