I store iguidance and run it completely from the storage card. I'm not sure why you want/have to install copilot to RAM for it to work. They probably added some features and so the program is bigger.

Do you really need ALL of the US on your PPC? If so you can buy a 2gb card. I'm not sure your rational of 1.8gb vs 900megs is a good one. Do you think copilot really has a better compression algorithm or that they probably don't have as detailed maps/POIs? I bet on the latter. I'd rather the program take up 10gb if it's useful data. I just store 5 states on my 1gb card and I'm fine. If I need more, I just load it up before the trip.
