A PRL update only deals with priority on roaming towers, and since you're not roaming it wouldn't apply. Even if Sprint plopped a new tower in your neighborhood your phone should find it regardless of what PRL you have.

Why does PPC PRL (example 20219) differ from 'regular phone' PRL (example 10219) ? I thought I read something a few months ago that EVDO devices had EVDO tower info inside PRL, which explains the difference. Can anyone confirm? If this is true, this is a slightly new use of PRL which in the past contained mainly roaming-related info.
