I bought a 'red logo' 6700 on eBay a few weeks ago. I RARELY got more than 200-300k on dslreports at work in midtown, and it was around 150k most of the time. (Probably 60% below 200k, 20% 200-300, 20% 300-400).

Then i did the PRL upgrade, and now I'm getting 400-500k+ CONSISTENTLY (80%+).

If your PRL is sorely out of date (as I assume mine was), this might be worth a try.

I doubt it is a time of day / day of week issue. I was getting 150k around this time for weeks, and I couldn't crack 180 this morning before the upgrade.

Be warned, though, I asked for this upgrade almost two weeks ago and I just got it by dialing *2 half an hour ago.

EVDO super-speeds ARE possible in NYC!

Hehe - look at Egress' update speed now. I can't wait to try streaming again.
