Yup, player must be on, but not in the foreground. I don't have orb set up yet, but I'm guessing it won't work. The player is audio only. Only audio played through the player comes through the headset, with the exception of phone calls - but that's a function of the headset. After the call, the player takes over again, but I don't think it pauses the music. I only have mp3's on the device. I don't know what format my iGuidance GPS sounds are in (they play in WMP but NOT in this player), so I'm thinking mp3s only. I can check wma files in the morning. It's almost 1am here. Gotta sleep.

I did go through the ms bluetooth manager, btw. No new profiles come up for my headset when I rescan services. I think this is going to be a limited solution - but it's fine for me.
