The hack is posted at xda-dev. You have to create a login to see the downloads. Grab the MSI file from the link at xda-dev as well. Don't worry about placing the hacked file in the "installer", as instructed, just put it into the MSI program directory after you have run the MSI CAB on the 6700.

I did a soft reset after installing, started the app from the programs screen, hit "option", "refresh", found my headset, selected it, hit "ok". To find your music, select the folder icon in the player, navigate to the folder containing your music, hit "ok" (bottom corner of the window this time???), your music will show in a list in the player, hit the microscopic play button, you should have music. You may have to deselect the autoshutdown in your power settings' advanced tab. The player does not seem to keep the 6700 alive with powersaving turned on.
