So unless I am sending something at the moment of a call I'll disconnect and then return to vision after the call.
2. When I received the short message I was able to read it on the screen. If a message goes to my sprint email it says to logon to check it. With SMS I can view it immediately.

Prompted by diomark, I tried this out, and in fact I can receive a call while connected as long as I am not actively sending or receiving data. So, I was largely wrong about that part.
Now, let's say that your friend on T-Mobile sends you an SMS. It arrives as shortmail, and a notification pops up on your screen saying that you need to check your shortmail. Now what do you do?
When I was using my n400, I could get to my shortmail relatively directly via Sprint's WAP pages, a few key presses and maybe 30 seconds. With my I500, I have to navigate sprintpcs.com's heavyweight non-WAP pages, login and all, more like two minutes. Am I missing something?
