OK, just a couple of points:

1) Although you obviously need an appropriate phone, you don't need to be connected to Vision to receive a 1-way text message.

2) The I500 redirects calls straight to voice mail when you're connected to Vision. If you're lucky. Otherwise, you miss the call altogether, and the caller gets an earful of electronic noise.
