SPB Pocket Plus (build 3.0.4) is working like a charm on my xv6700. It allows you to assign a command or open an application by configuring the hardware buttons. It is much more configurable than the wm5 button assignment feature under Start/Settings/Buttons.

I have it set up so the OK button actually closes an application vs. the wm5 default (OK/Close) which simply minimizes it.

Very handy for all of you that like to actually close applications when you're done with them to conserve your program memory.
If you are still on your trial period of SPB P+ and you are just looking for that close app feature, you can try out Magic Button or vijay555's VJOKButt...both are freeware and does that same thing as SPB's close button...
