Speaking of which, you guys should try Dynamo (http://www.aspecto-software.com/Dynamo/Dynamo.htm). This is an animated task switcher that also supports application close.

To close the application selected with the 5 way, just hold down the 5 way for a few seconds. The application will close, and the other windows will re-align themselves nicely. Another thing to note- initially Dynamo will assign itself to your camera button. Don't panic though, as it is easy to re-assign it. First go to your button assignments in Settings, then re-assign your record button (could really be any button, but I wanted to use record) specifically to "None." Once it is assigned to none, run Dynamo, or if it already running, press and hold the camera button to initialize it. You will see your active applications. Instead of clicking with the stylus on one of the applications, click and hold your stylus in the blue background area. You will see a menu pop-up where you can adjust your settings and re-assign the Dynamo button to the record button. Once assigned, you're all set- anytime you want to switch applications, or close either your current or other running applications, hit record once, and Dynamo wil instantly display in its animated splendor.
