Well yeah, if you don't have a device and you're going to purchase one, then the 6600 is the way to go. But if you already have a device then there is no point spending all that money on a 6600 when there will be better devices coming out in the next few months (for the same price).
And carlosmh, you are dead wrong. The i730 is smaller, with better screen resolution, better camera, built in WiFi, and hardware designed to run WM5.
The rumor is Sprint isn't carrying it yet because WM5 is due out soon, and the one Sprint carries will be running WM5.
So I don't know what you're talking about when you say the only advantage is wm10. The i730 is better than the 6600 in every measurable way.
But it doesn't really matter, because I'm waiting for the Universal anyway.
Yes, the G1000 is older and not as nice as the 6600. But the 6600 is not even in the same ballpark as the Universal either. So there is no way I'm spending the cash to get a 6600 if I can wait a little while and spend that same cash on a Universal. I already have a G1000 so it's not like I'm going without or anything.
Sprint has been saying that there are several EVDO devices due out by the end of the year. The Universal and the i730 are only 2 of them. There could be many more surprises. But it doesn't matter because worse case scenario is somehting better than the 6600 will be out by the end of the year. So if you already have a working device you might as well wait for it.
Unless you have that kind of money to burn. In which case, feel free to send me some...
