HOW TO DO A SEARCH
Before you post a question it is not only polite to everyone who visits the board, but also extremely useful to you to do a search first. This should become just habit before posting a new thread asking a question or sharing what you believe is late breaking news. So to help you out, here is a step by step on how to do a search on this forum:
1) Look in the top left corner of the screen, just under the PDAphoneHome.com Logo, you will see the word
SEARCH. Click on it. It will take you here:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/search.php?s=
2) On the Search page are a couple basic sections to fill out:
- Search By Keyword
In this section, type in the Keyword you are looking for, i.e. if you were trying to find out about wireless keyboards then you might type in Keyboard. If you get too many results then try to narrow your search, like Bluetooth Keyboard. If you did not get any results then try to make your keywords a more general. - Search By User Name
If you know the name of the user how posted what you are looking for, then enter it here.....otherwise just leave it blank. - Search Forum...
This has a drop down list of all the forums that are on this sight. It would be best to choose the "--PPC-6601 / PPC-6600 / XV6600" forum from the list.
There is also an option to list as threads or as posts. I personally prefer to "Show results as threads" , unless I end up with a thread with hundreds of posts in it, then it might help to go back and select "Show results as posts ". - Search For Posts From...
If you know the approximate date the post you are looking for was posted, you can narrow down the search here, but generally most probably leave this blank the first run through a search. - Sort Results By...
Don't do anything in this section if you want the results to be listed with the latest post first, with is generally the best.
